Maria was born in Greece in 1963. She lived for many years in Switzerland, obtained a law degree from Geneva University, travelled, and then moved back to Greece, where she worked as a corporate lawyer for many years.
During her spiritual inquiry, she was introduced in 1999 to the science and philosophy of Yoga, through the pioneer French yogini Eva Ruchpaul. While on the path, she was introduced to the medical science of Ayurveda, through the internationally renowned doctors Vaidya Asvin Barot and Dr. Nikolaos Kostopoulos.
These new experiences were the threshold for major inner changes and re-evaluation of priorities. They brought along clarity, conscious choices, discernment, courage, trust in life, opened up the heart, and the cycle of the legal career was closed, without knowing what would come next.
As a natural outcome, since then, Maria teaches Well Tempered Hatha Yoga, the art of breathing, and integral practices of Yoga and Meditation. Her dream is to share knowledge and tools that unlock possibilities all human beings have, leading to the exploration of an expanded inclusive consciousness and of an equanimous alertness.
She remains an eternal curious student, continuously expanding her theoretical and experiential knowledge in the whole spectrum of Yoga and Ayurveda.
