If my inner voice was to be likened to the string of a musical instrument, the practice of Well Tempered Hatha Yoga as experienced under the guidance of my teacher Maria Maleviti, achieves the ideal tuning of this string.
With great enthusiasm and respect towards my specificities and through a well targeted combination of yoga postures and breathing exercises, practice with Maria decisively contributes in coordinating my inner voice with my thoughts, emotions and body.
As a result to this, my unique, personal inner sound, is harmonious, conscious and evolutionary. In other words, practice with Maria offers me clarity, space and flexibility in the mind, heart and body, preparing me for anything that life may bring.
I am truly grateful that Maria and I met. For all that I have learned, for the experiences we have shared and for all the paths we will walk on together.
I am delighted to write about my Yoga practice experience with Maria Maleviti, my fabulous and charismatic teacher.
Words can’t easily express those kind of spiritual experiences but inspiration helps.
I practice with my teacher Maria for a few years already, and it has been a beautiful journey. Beginning with my curiosity and a need for more peace and balance in my life it has smoothly developed to a passion and the whole outcome of those practices has exceeded by far my initial expectations to the point that I don’t expect anything anymore in general! Maria has guided me gracefully and with great knowledge and wisdom to this transformative path, always respecting my rhythms and the rest came naturally. Balance, peacefulness, acceptance of things, others and most importantly myself, enchanted self love/care, self healing, joy and a sense of freedom simultaneously with a sense of unity!
And what’s the catch? just a little of patience for the process to take off and take you to the clouds! And your teacher should be the right one and I couldn’t be luckier to have found Maria as my teacher to this everlasting positive transformation path.
I met Maria Maleviti sometime back in 1992, in the law firm where we both were working as lawyers. Yes, Maria used to be a lawyer in her former life.
I was impressed by how she went into things in great detail, at a punctilious level. Determined to reach the end, to know every detail of the case before moving forward with the necessary steps, to have an integral approach, she was assuming responsibility and wanted to perform at her best.
To the great surprise of us all, Maria withdrew from her legal career to follow the path of her heart. I kept in touch, thus knowing she had decided to fully immerse herself into Yoga.
After almost thirty years, I decided that it was the right time for me, to start practicing Yoga and Meditation. I turned to Maria and started private sessions with her. With her help, I reach new levels of self-awareness, I find inner peace, I learn how to appreciate the journey, in other words I evolve physically, mentally, spiritually. I am impressed with her professionalism, the deep knowledge of what she transmits while always seeking, her consistency in words and action and the example she provides through her own beautiful family.
This weekly appointment on the yoga mat, is part of my life for many years now. Listening to my breath in a silent space, carefully and lovingly guided in my practice by the smooth, steady voice of my teacher, I discovered inner peace. I have learned how to feel grateful and kind towards my feelings and to listen to what my body is telling me.
After each class I experience a sensation of quiet force, of peaceful joy and of a new impulse for life. I am fully regenerated, more present to others and to everything that surrounds me.
When we first met, Maria asked me why I wanted to start practicing Yoga. I replied that I needed to learn how to pause.
Since that very first practice, I entered a new path with a guide, teacher and ultimately friend, that invites me to go deeper into the practice of this exceptional method of Hatha Yoga and try new routes. I fully trust her and the knowledge she carries. Maria’s approach to the practice is always full of interest and care for body and soul.
Maria taught me to give time to my breath and body. Through knowledge and practice, she opened the way towards a brighter, joyous and spacious life. The pause that I was looking for, became the empty space where all the information is quietly received and processed, and functions as a creative lab nurturing consciousness.
Practicing with Maria as a guide, is a meditative journey with the vehicles of body and breath. Through her thorough teaching of Hatha Yoga and the Well-Tempered Method of Eva Ruchpaul, her strong roots in Ayurveda and the safe use of mantras, Maria is to me an inexhaustible source of knowledge and guide – fellow traveler in life’s shining path.
One of the most beautiful presents I keep offering myself during many years, is practicing Yoga with Maria! Our classes are truly imbued by her generosity, empathy, consideration, and abundant light. After each class, I experience well-being, my whole body breaths better and moves in a more harmonious way. Mind and body are connected, peaceful, I experience greater awareness, contentment and joy!
Always grateful!!
